“The enormous interest in our solutions and systems confirms were we are headed”
MicroStep once again inspired the numerous visitors at the EuroBLECH 2018 and can consider the trade show a great success.
The 25th international trade fair EuroBLECH was a great success for the global manufacturer of cutting systems. More than 60,000 people visited this years’ Euroblech 2018 and interacted with the 1,500 exhibitors on the latest innovations in sheet metal processing technology.
This years’ Euroblech buzz words were automation, digitalization and networked production and the motto “On the pulse of digitization”, rang throughout all the halls.
This was exactly what visitors could experience at MicroStep’s stand and additionally topics such as process reliability, flexibility or high-quality cutting.
Numerous visitors took the opportunity to experience the innovations from MicroStep – especially the MSF Compact Fiber Laser Cutting Machine and the latest generation of the CNC Plasma Cutting System, our all-rounder MG.
MicroStep happily celebrated the world premiere of the MSF Compact Fiberlaser Cutting Machine
Curtains up for the MSF Compact: Our precise and fast fiber laser cutting machine celebrated an impressive world premiere in Hanover. The CNC system stands for the inexpensive entry into high-quality 2D laser cutting. The system is extremely quick to setup and requires very little space. That was the point: “With the MSF Compact, we have transferred the successful concept of the plasma cutting system MasterCut Compact to the laser. “The enormous interest in our solutions and systems confirms were we are headed “said Johannes Ried, Managing Director of MicroStep Europa GmbH, in a positive conclusion.
Numerous visitors took the opportunity to experience the innovations from MicroStep on the four days of the fair.
The latest innovation showcased was the new generation of the plasma cutting machines. Our all-rounder (MG), which combines an enormous range of processing technologies. For example, sheet metal, tubes, profiles and dished ends can be processed in a multifunctional manner on just one system. “We always implement the latest solutions in our systems. Customers can be sure that they will receive state-of-the-art technology and many years of enhanced production in their business with our solutions, “says Johannes Ried.
Another one of the latest developments at MicroStep is the oxyfuel rotator, trusted by the first customers. The endlessly rotating bevel unit for flame cutting enables weld preparation of up to 65 °, making it an ideal helper for bevel cuts at higher material thicknesses. Thanks to the ABP® technology from MicroStep, chamfers can also be attached to already cut components – saving material and laborious workpiece handling.
For many years, the topic of digitization has been a top priority at MicroStep. We have a multitude of systems and software modules for the various MicroStep cutting systems that continually evaluate and monitor of production processes. As a founding member of the Association Industry Business Network 4.0 (IBN), a new solution was showcased for the first time at the EuroBLECH 2018. Together with other members, machines and systems from different manufacturers were networked with each other over several exhibition stands. The collected data was then merged onto a dashboard and clearly visualized on a monitor. With this, the Association of Innovative SMEs has showed how inter-manufacturer interoperability will look in the future: Processes can be monitored and managed centrally in production facilities with machines of various makes.
The system is based on the work of the IBN working groups and was developed with partners such as the Fraunhofer Institute and TÜV Süd. “Digitalization is an important pillar of research and development at MicroStep, along with the urge to provide hardware to our customers, enabling them to produce faster, more flexibly, and more automatically. At MicroStep and in the association, we develop solutions that enable users to more efficiently master their daily production routines with the help of networked systems. We only get maximum efficiency from digitalization if we work together with manufacturers, “said Igor Mikulina, CEO of MicroStep Europa GmbH and CEO of Industry Business Network 4.0.
World premiere for MSF Compact: Compact, Fast and Accurate The extremely compact fiber laser cutting system MSF Compact offers a low-cost entry into high-quality laser cutting. The new CNC system is ready to go: setup, commissioning and training are done within a week. Designed as an island solution, the MSF Compact saves space in the production facility and is available in a variety of table sizes – from 1,000 x 2,000 mm to 1,500 x 3,000 mm and with a laser source from 1 to 4 kW – depending on the customer’s requirements.
MG series: Precise, Reliable and Multifunctional like never before The MG series has always been valued by hundreds of customers worldwide for its process reliability and multifunctionality in the processing of sheet metal, tubes, profiles and dished ends. The all-rounder, which combines numerous processing steps in just one system, is now available with the new MicroStep plasma rotator. The latest generation of the endless turning chamfering unit enables weld preparations of up to 50 ° and stands for process-reliability and high-quality results thanks to the integrated scanner and the automatic, patented ACTG® calibration unit. MicroStep partners Kjellberg and Teka also showcased MicroStep Technology Two further systems were to be experienced on the stands of two MicroStep partners: At Kjellberg Finsterwalde the MasterCut series could be seen. This is an extremely flexible and robust cutting system. Equipped with a plasma master “MasterCut” for weld preparation and a 2D plasma torch, visitors were able to see two HiFocus plasma sources from the German manufacturer Kjellberg in action and experience the new SilentCut noise reduction technology. The plasma cutting machine “space saver” MasterCut Compact was used by the filtering extraction specialist Teka. All in all it was a very successful show and we are excited for the next one.
