Q power sources now cut stainless steel and aluminium up to a 60 mm material thickness using nitrogen
Plasma cutting of stainless steel and aluminium with nitrogen up to 300 A
With the latest research and development, Kjellberg has further developed the Q Series of plasma cutting systems. This Q series can now also cut stainless steel and aluminium in the material thickness range of up to 60 mm using nitrogen. When using the all-gas console Q-Gas, the N2Technology can be used as an alternative to Ar/H2 technology. For the oxygen console Q-Gas O2
It is now possible for the first time to cut greater thicknesses of stainless steel and aluminium using nitrogen.
The manufacturer or fabricator now benefits from the N2-Technology with greater cutting results with smaller angular deviations as well as higher cutting speeds in the lower material thickness range.
The use of nitrogen as a plasma gas also increases flexibility and cost savings are also achieved.
Automated plasma cutting
Plasma power sources in use on 2D or 3D guide systems such as cnc cutting systems, tube cutting machines or robots enable precise, laser-like and fast plasma cuts.
Typical areas of application are metal fabrication and contract cutting, dished ends manufacturing, construction industries or the automotive industry.
Kjellberg has developed various plasma cutting sources for different applications and with different price tags. We at MicroStep are highly impressed with even the entry level plasma sources and we have a few very satisfied customers to back this up.
Q 3000
The Q 3000 and Q 3000 plus plasma cutting systems combine precise plasma cutting and marking at the best level with a maximum cutting current of 300 A. Thanks to the modular design, the system output of the Q 3000 plus can be subsequently increased and thus adapted to the requirements of the user. The browser-based Q-Desk user interface developed by Kjellberg provides real-time process data and information from all system components on commercially available end devices regardless of location. The user benefits from extensive information and can plan and carry out a large number of system-controlled sytem revisions. This generation of plasma cutting systems is the result of intensive Kjellberg research and development and a milestone in Kjellberg’s 60-year plasma history. With the new, digital plasma system series Q, future-oriented standards in quality and connectivity are set.
HiFocus 600i neo
The HiFocus 600i neo plasma cutting system sets new standards in plasma cutting. Materials with a thickness of 0.5 to 160 mm can be cut precisely. In addition to this, the system can be used for marking, chamfering and underwater cutting. Consisting of two power sources (HiFocus 360i neo, Power Module HiFocus 600i neo), the system achieves a maximum cutting current of 600 A and can be adapted to any guide systems. With the HiFocus neo, compared to its’ competitors, the user benefits from higher speeds in the cutting and marking of electrically conductive materials, while at the same time providing very good quality and low process costs.
Thanks to optimized technology, the wear on parts is spared and plasma cutting is more efficient. The HiFocus 600i neo plasma cutting system features the proven Contour Cut technology for fast and precise cutting of contours, holes and webs in mild steel.
Smart Focus 400
The Smart Focus 400 plasma cutting system achieves excellent cutting results in the material thickness range from 1 up to 100 mm with just a few settings. Even under demanding conditions, the highest cutting quality and cutting speeds are achieved. For this purpose, Kjellbergs’ proven cutting technologies such as Contour Cut, for cutting mild steel are used. With the optimized gas consoles and burners, the wear on parts is also spared, gas consumption is reduced and thus cutting meter costs are significantly reduced. As a further development of the contour cut technology, Silent Cut technology reduces the sound pressure level during cutting by up to 15 dB(A) in the current range from 60 to 160 A.
Kjellberg really stands out when it comes to delivering results on cutting quality.
