A Message of Hope and Positivity

To all of you out there from us here at MicroStep SA

To all of you out there. We are sending you hope.  We are here for you. We are thinking of you and wishing you good health, and safety throughout this process.

We hope you are taking care of yourself during these anxious times and finding a way to connect with people and share some love.

To our healthcare workers, social workers, store employees, food delivery persons or anyone out there on the front lines. You are our super-heroes. Thank you. We are super grateful for you and everything you are sacrificing.

This is a scary time indeed.

A time of constant change, the unknown. What will be tomorrow? How long will this still continue? What will happen when this is all over? Then, mostly fear for our health and that of our loved ones. Especially the old and the weak. We feel it is our responsibility to protect them as much as we can. This at least in all the uncertainty can be empowering and can help us feel less helpless. We can also empower ourselves by making powerful choices. Choices to stay at home and be vigilant with hand washing and general cleanliness.

It is vital to try and stay positive and think of the good things, even day to day things. You are spending more time with your close family. Some of us are freaking out at the moment and that’s ok, some of us have not quite grasped what’s going on and will crash later, that’s ok too. We’re all human at the end of the day.

Let us remember during this time that we are all in this together, us as South Africans, no matter how big or small, young or old, or which ethnic group you belong too, no matter our culture or what we look like, we are all in this together. This is one thing that we can share and let it unite us.

So, let us try and change our perspective here slightly. What has the Corona Virus taught us?

It has shown us the importance of connection, how simple, yet fleeting a kiss can be. How valuable life is. How critical it is for us human beings to be with one another and share hugs and affection. This is what drives humanity.

It has reminded us how wonderful nature can smell after a rain storm, or how free you feel when you are able to just take a walk.

Maybe the virus is telling us to stop being so greedy and egotistical. Do you really need that big house with the fancy car? Does it really matter if you are wearing last season’s outfit?

If you can take one thing from “Lockdown” what would it be?

How many of you, that maybe see your families every now and again, have chosen to “Lockdown” with them?

Maybe this Virus has taught us all to be more patient and understanding with one another.

Let’s all try and keep these feelings alive when this is all over. When this Covid-19 has finally packed its’ bags.

When you have a choice. Choose hope, choose compassion, choose love.

It certainly is a time of uncertainty as some of us have had to take forced leave or a pay cut or some of you, if you are business owners are worried about how long you can continue on for or how you are going to get through the next few months.

It’s stressful, it’s gut wrenching and it’s disheartening. So, on behalf of all of us at MicroStep SA, we are here for you, every step of the way, any way we can help.

We want to help you get through this. We are your biggest and raving fans, because you are what makes this economy go and help uplift our beautiful country.

We are just a phone call or email away and can access your machines remotely. Please do not hesitate and we will endeavour to also make and keep contact with you.

We are united. We can do this. We will make it through together.

Stay safe!
